As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I bring both professional expertise
and heartfelt dedication to my work. My academic journey began at Mount St. Mary’s
College—now Mount St. Mary’s University—where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology in 1998. I later completed my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at
resno Pacific University, California, in 2012. I am grateful to be licensed to practice in
both California and Illinois.
While I have often felt that my journey unfolded at its own pace, I have come to
understand that each milestone occurred in God’s perfect timing. The path to achieving
my MA spanned ten years, filled with                                              unexpected challenges that ultimately fostered my resilience and                                             deepened my compassion for those navigating their own obstacles. This                                                lived experience allows me to relate to my clients’        perseverance     and                                               growth on a genuine level.
My upbringing in a Catholic school in                                             Mexico shaped my identity in profound ways. I cherish my Mexican heritage, which has instilled in me a love for vibrant traditions and a strong sense of community and family—values that inform my approach as a therapist. At 13, I made my First Communion and dedicated my life to Jesus; this commitment
continues to guide me, offering clarity and strength through prayer and discernment.
Together with my husband and our beloved bull terrier, Buddy, I find joy in life’s simple
pleasures. Though we were not blessed with children, our lives are enriched by
numerous godchildren who bring warmth and laughter into our home. Nature walks and
quiet mornings offer me comfort and a sense of connection—often, it is in these
peaceful moments that I hear God’s gentle voice.
 I am committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel
valued and understood. My goal is to walk alongside each individual as they navigate
their unique challenges, helping them embrace their faith, culture, and innate capacity for healing.
